TALB Open Source College Football Ranking (TOSCFR)

For the 2008 college football season TALB intends to embark on a quest to come up with a better ranking system. It is a “computer” ranking by definition. This is a work-in-progress, and is considered “open source”. Anyone can take this methodology, and fold/spindle/mutilate to make it better. And more specifically, a developer with the talent and the time can probably make this a reality more so than I could.  [Posted as a "page" so it stays on the front.  Comments enabled there.] (more…)

Playoffs - Changes?

Hey there. How’s it been going? Me, same old. What’s that? Oh… yeah it’s not that kind of blog. Today, let’s talk about the playoffs. Both of the pro and “armature” variety. Who should play for the (increasingly) “Mythical” National Championship? Your guess is as good as mine. But given the facts in evidence, the only logical (term used quite loosely) pairing is Ohio State and LSU. (more…)

Oh Quack

With Oregon’s loss Thursday night to Arizona, the BCS is now down to LSU and the Big XII. With The Ownedhio State University and West Virginia hoping for an SEC championship game “upset”. Let’s talk about it, shall we? (more…)
