History

Our friend, TMQ, has a chip on his shoulder regarding the legacy of the 2007 Patriots. In his opinion they will be forever tainted by the stigma of “Spygate”. Mostly, he contends, because the NFL did not fully investigate the issue. And in fact destroyed much of the evidence that was turned over to them. We here at TALB, on the other hand, think that it’s deeper, but less sinister than that. (more…)

King Of Football 2008

If you could change football, what would you do? Would you change things drastically? Or just a little bit? TALB takes a little from column A and a little from column B. Some of my ideas are just plain out there. Others are rooted in reality. I hope you enjoy the 2008 edition of TALB’s King of Football. (more…)

But the thing TALB wants to know is, can the immortal Billy Volek step-up and take his team to the promised land? Is he going to get the chance? Does anyone want to see the Rivers-Manning Draft Day Trade Bowl instead? Will it snow as if the end times are upon us in Green Bay? Can you stand anymore questions in this intro? (more…)

Who Wants It More?

That’s the question the NFL is asking of this year’s playoff field. Which, I think, is quite apropos this season. The teams that have been playing to win since September are still alive. Those that took some time off, not so much. (more…)

Super Bowl XLII Tournament: Divisional Round

NFL (Small)This week is when the rubber meets the road in the NFL playoffs. The top dogs have had a week off (or in some cases two), and the wild cards have had to scrap their way to this point. The safe money says pick the home teams. And statistically you’d be right. But I’m not so sure that’s the case in the NFC. (more…)
