I can’t let the Mike Vick story go by without having TALB weigh in.
The hue and cry is for Ron Mexico to be banninated from the NFL for anywhere from the 2007 season all the way to Pete Rose territory. And many will point to Pacman Jones as an example. However, the Pacster has been arrested 5 times, and been questioned by the police 10 times.
As much as I’d like to see the one-dimensional-wonder get some comeuppance, I think that the best thing for the NFL is to do what they are doing already. Wait and see; wait until the legal process plays out. Word is that the Feds are trying to move quickly on this anyway.
But TALB will say this; if he’s convicted of even one of the counts, Vick should be off the field for all of 2007. If he’s found guilty of more than that (or even all of the counts) TALB would be happy with nothing less than a lifetime suspension.
