One More Time, With Feeling

The championship round games did not go the way TALB had hoped. We were looking forward to the Steelers crushing the Falcons in the big game; while the lowly Eagles sobbed in their cheese-steaks yet again. But instead the Iggles will have to wait two more weeks before they can commence moisturizing their sandwiches. In other news, the Bucs signed some minor free-agents, fired some admin staff, and are getting ready to sue a stadium vendor.

Favored To Win

The NFL Divisional round of the playoffs provided few surprises. Well, except for that whole OT thing with the Steelers. The favorites won; The 1 seed is facing the 2 seed in both conferences. And with the exception of the Steelers, they all won pretty convincingly. Unfortunately for me, I could not watch but a few minutes of each game. Yes, today is Wednesday. Sorry, I got sick and couldn’t complete this on Tuesday.

Sooners or Later…

To steal from TMQ, all predictions wrong or your money back. The NFL playoffs basically went against the “plan” with only the Colts winning as expected. Other than the playoffs, the football world was mostly quiet. Nick Saban in for the Fins, Dennis Erickson out for the 49ers. Like I said, a quiet football week.

Defeated

The Professor said to me just before the end of 2004 that I had a chance to be happy thrice this weekend, with the Bucs, Gators, and Thunderers playing games they could win. Alas, not a one of them could pull out a victory. The Gators and Bucs looked, to say it plainly, pathetic.
